I am guilty… I am and have been for years, in love with COLOR! It really adds something special to a look … and thus, a photograph. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting being so over the top that the focus is not on the subject– but please don’t be shy to add some color– at any age!
Now for newborns and babies… my love of color is combined with texture and yet another art of sorts… knitting and crocheting…. I suppose this is called needle art. The creativity and skill of women (and men) on Etsy and Hyenacart amaze me. Although I can knit and sew… these are time consuming crafts, and these artists do it so much better than I can. However, February 10, 2009 may be the end to the sale of many one-of-a-kind handmade items. I pray that handmade products for children survive the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
