Shooting with Shannon Sewell in Virginia!

Last weekend I was so excited to meet and learn from an incredibly creative and talented photographer, Shannon Sewell! You can check out Shannon’s work here: Shannon’s blog and even catch her in action on the Framed Show. We spent the morning learning inside, classroom style; and then took the afternoon to shoot with models outside. Yes the sun was bright, but that didn’t deter the dirty dozen or so of photographers that flanked Shannon and our 4 adorable models! Intimidated… a little. Determined… a lot! Our models showed off clothing and accessories from Knuckleheads Clothing, Lisa’s Mini Mad Hattery, and The Measure! Very cool fashion duds, for sure!

Here we got a quick lesson on using Canon’s AI Servo mode to keep moving subjects in focus! Great for jumping rope, running, swinging, any movement captured that requires constant refocusing. Yes, Shannon is a Canon girl, as was all but 2 of the workshop attendees:)
