There’s a very good reason for getting newborn photos done before 10 days old. I always wondered what people were talking about when they used the term “honeymoon” to refer to the first couple weeks home with a new baby… then I had my own. For the first several days, it seemed as if all they did was sleep… mostly with doting and adoring onlookers hovering close by. Then magically, the sleepy little angel takes on a new form– for some its a more wakeful angel- for me it seemed like three little howling, hungry wolves (of course I mean that in the most loving way possible). At any rate, the constant slumber does come to an end and this makes a newborn photography session a bit more complicated. When I first arrived at this 15 day old little guy’s home, he was sleeping– but once mom took the clothes and diaper off, sleep ended. Two hours later… he sleptIt was definitely worth it– isn’t he so cute?
